Pultorak & Associates’ ITIL® Version 3 (V3) Intermediate Qualification: Operational Support and Analysis (OSA) eLearning Course offers an interactive, self-directed learning experience that provides optimal flexibility and value for your training dollars. The real world experience of our team of experts has been captured in a multimedia training application that is designed to provide engaging content in a straightforward, no-nonsense introduction to ITIL® V3. We offer this 30-hour fully accredited course as a Web application or hosted on your eLearning system. It can also be run as a standalone CBT executable that can be downloaded and run for a 1-day trial by clicking here.

The OSA Certificate is a freestanding qualification, but is also part of the ITIL® Intermediate Capability stream, and one of the modules leading to the ITIL® Expert in IT Service Management Certificate.

The Expert Certification is based on a point system. An online point calculator is available here.


Audience

The OSA eLearning Course is intended for:

  • Individuals who have attained the V3 ITIL® Foundation certificate or the V2 Foundation and the V3 Foundation Bridge certificate who wish to advance to higher level ITIL® certification
  • Individuals who require a deep understanding of ITIL® OSA processes and how they may be used to enhance the quality of IT service support within an organization
  • IT professionals that are working in organizations that have adopted and adapted ITIL® who need to be informed about and contribute to an ongoing service improvement program
  • Operational staff involved in Event Management Process, Incident Management Process, Request Fulfillment Process, Problem Management Process, Access Management Process, Service Desk, Technical Management, IT Operations Management and Application Management

This may include, but is not limited to, IT professionals, business managers, and business process owners.


Optional Certification Examination

Upon completion of the course, candidates may sit the optional ITIL® V3 Intermediate Qualification examination leading to the ITIL® Intermediate Qualification: OSA Certificate. Ninety (90) minutes (120 minutes and the use of a dictionary for those taking the examination in a language other than their first language) is allowed for the closed-book, supervised examination which may be online or paper-based (an additional charge is required for the exam).

The hardcopy Participant Binder contains all the screen images with the full notes, Job Aids, Handouts, Syllabus, Glossary / Acronym, and Sample Exams. Most of the pages contain space for the participant to make notes regarding the material covered.

Prerequisites

Candidates wishing to be trained and examined for this qualification must already hold the ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management (the V3 Foundation or V2 Foundation plus Bridge Certificate) which shall be presented as documentary evidence to gain admission. It is strongly recommended that candidates:

• Can demonstrate familiarity with IT terminology and understand Operational Support and Analysis within the context of their own business environment
• Have exposure working in a service management capacity within a service provider environment, with responsibility emphasizing on at least one of the following management disciplines:

• Event Management Process
• Incident Management Process
• Request Fulfilment Process
• Problem Management Process
• Access Management Process
• Service Desk
• Technical Management
• IT Operations Management
• Application Management

It is also strongly recommended that candidates read the ITIL® Service Management core publications in advance of attending training for the certification and specifically the Service Operation publication.
